  • Features

    Buffering ensures protection from the destructive effects of acid migration from the matted work and from a polluted environment that might cause the pH of the mat board to decrease (become more acidic) with age.

    Lignin-Free - Yes - lignin content is tested by TAPPI 236 cm-85 and has a Kappa number of 5 or less

    Buffered - Yes - contains a minimum of 3% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) with a pH range 8-9.5

    P.A.T. passed the Photographic Activity Test ISO 18916

    Board Weight 4-Ply / 60 Pt. (Approximately 1/16'')

    Board is made from 100% Cotton fiber pulp (99% Alpha Cellulose). It does not contain any post consumer waste recycled pulp. Paper is free of metal particles, waxes, plasticizers and residual bleach peroxide. Sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur.

    Dyes are light-fast and non-bleeding

    Adhesive single-ply sheets are laminated with ethylene vinyl acetate

    Optical Brighteners - No, none are used

    Metallic Impurities iron will not exceed 150 ppm and copper will not exceed 6 ppm

    Sizing alkaline or neutral sizing are used. No alum rosin or rosin sizing are used.
