  • Application

    Safely store and organize 35mm and medium format film in Negative File Folders. You can file by assignment, subject, or roll number, and write information on the folder index tab.

    Use these with Side Lock Film Sleeves to protect the film from handling or scuffing. Your newly organized negatives can then be filed and safely stored in archival boxes such as our Hinged Lid Box (02-003) designed for use with these folders.

    The longer File Folder (22-001) will accommodate six frames of 35mm film or four frames of 2-1/4'' film. For other medium format negative sizes it will hold up to 10'' strips of film.

    Both sizes will hold either 35mm negatives or medium format but the smaller 22-400 size is designed to hold the common drugstore negative strips which only included four 35mm frames.

  • Features

    Each folder, constructed of heavyweight 7-point card stock, expands to hold about a dozen strips of negatives or unmounted transparencies.

    Item 22-001 will hold six frames of 35mm film or four frames of 2-1/4'' film. Item 22-400 is designed to hold strips of four 35mm film frames.

  • Specifications

    Archival Grade Card Stock

    Made from fully bleached, high alpha cellulose pulp. It does not contain any post consumer waste recycled pulp. Paper is free of metal particles, waxes, plasticizers, residual bleach, peroxide, sulfur content is less than 0.0008% reducible sulfur.

    The lignin content is measured by the phloroglucinol test with a Kappa number of 5 or less.

    Metallic Impurities, Iron will not exceed 150 ppm and copper shall not exceed 6 ppm. No optical brightening agents are used in the pulp.

    The paper contains a minimum of 3% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) with a pH range 8-9.5

    Alkaline or neutral sizing are used. No alum rosin or rosin sizing are used.

    Color pigment dyes are light-fast and non-bleeding.

    This paper passes the PAT (Photographic Activity Test) ISO 14523 formally ANSI IT9.16
